Are Arabs Funny? Judge for yourself with this fabulous night of laughs aplenty, as the legendary comedy night ‘Arabs Are Not Funny’ comes to West London!

You might have thought that Arabs couldn’t get any funnier. Think again. Widely regarded as one of the hottest comedy nights among the Arab community and beyond, ‘Arabs are not funny!‘ sees 5 comedians with roots in the Arab world showcasing their talents and attempting to prove the naysayers wrong!

Line Up:

Fatiha El-Ghorri: Underneath Fatiha’s colourful hijab is a mind full of cutting observations and engaging witticism of the life and times of a British Muslim woman. Fatiha smashes the Muslim stereotypes and challenges people to think about what they think they know about Islam, Muslims, and Muslim women especially.

As seen on ITV’s ‘The Jonathan Ross Comedy Club’ and Comedy Central’s ‘Comedy Central at the Edinburgh Fringe’.

Ella Al-Shamahi: Yemeni British, Ella is a National Geographic Explorer, paleoanthropologist, evolutionary biologist and stand-up comic.  Ella is also TV presenter, a TED 2019 speaker and has taken 4 shows up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Omar Badawy: Originally from Egypt, Omar started in stand up in 2019 and, in his first year (+global pandemic), went on to win the prestigious ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ award at the Edinburgh Fringe. He talks about his encounters with strange school friends, football fans and EDL-badge-wearing bouncers, providing unique insight from a childhood moving from Egypt to Wales to Cambridge.

Fathiya: Youth worker by day and comedian by night, North West London comic Fathiya from Somali-Yemeni roots discusses the funny mishaps of what it’s like being Muslim and living in a Somali household!

Mo Magaleo: A young comedian from Morocco, who grew up in the UK. On stage Mo talks about growing up in a council estate, having a Muslim background, growing up with Moroccan parents, and many more stories/observations.
