Off the back of over 50 sold-out previous editions, our comedy night Arabs Are Not Funny! goes to Medway for the first time.
we will be joined by a line-up of four fantastic comedians showcasing the comic talents of the Arab world and surrounding regions as they attempt to prove the name of this night wrong.
LINEUP:
Farah Sharp
Farah is an English-Egyptian comedian based in London. She has performed around the UK as well as in Sydney, Australia. Her stand-up is a mix of quirky opinions and anecdotes, often based around her upbringing or relationships and what she has (or hasn’t!) learnt from them.
Fatiha El Ghorri
Underneath Fatiha’s colourful hijab is a mind full of cutting observations and engaging witticism of the life and times of a British Muslim woman. Fatiha smashes the Muslim stereotypes and challenges people to think about what they think they know about Islam, Muslims, and Muslim women especially. She tackles some tough subjects like Islamophobia and dating by sharing her own experiences which are funny, thought provoking and honest! As seen on ITV’s ‘The Jonathan Ross Comedy Club’ and Comedy Central’s ‘Comedy Central at the Edinburgh Fringe’.
Isabelle Farah (MC)
A British-Lebanese comedian, writer, and actor. Isabelle has appeared on the BBC and CBS. As an actress, she’s worked in theatre all over the UK and in London’s West End.
Hilal Kassem
Hilal Kassem, AKA @HILALIOUSCOMEDY, is a comedian from the Lebanese diaspora in Nigeria who came to Europe to study Cultural Psychology. With his sarcastic humour HILALIOUS will share with us his intercultural journey tapping upon race, religion, gender, sexuality, and other hot topics!
