This course will equip you with the essential knowledge and much needed clarity to become more intentional and confident in your work in today’s fast paced and ever changing music business. It is suitable for both DIY musicians and bands, and early career music managers. We will end the session with a round of Q&As to help you make more sense of the information shared.

Sarah is based between Cairo and London, Simsara Music is an artist management and creative producing agency known for the intimate infrastructure behind some of the most innovative Arabic music today, including Nadah El Shazly’s Ahwar, Maryam Saleh, Tamer Abu Ghazaleh and Maurice Louca’s Lekhfa, Elephantine by Maurice Louca and most recently Nancy Mounir’s Nozhet El Nofous.
Intentionally small in scale with a keen curatorial ear for adventurous new sounds, the agency cemented its commitment & contribution to the region’s teeming music scenes with its new imprint, Simsara Records, and the release of Nancy Mounir’s remarkable debut record Nozhet El Nofous in 2022. Simsara Music also launched Tarkeeza in 2021 as a music management training platform in Arabic, exploring the full spectrum of skills and knowledge needed for effective music management.
Sarah developed her PR experience working for the Barbican Centre for eight years whilst pursuing a master’s degree in music and anthropology at SOAS. Born in Algiers to an Algerian mother and an Egyptian father, she was brought up between the two countries before moving to London in 2005.
