A very special evening from the award-winning sister duo as they perform songs from their critically acclaimed album, arabesque – a celebration and tribute to music from the Arab world
The Scottish/Egyptian duo – Sarah and Laura Ayoub – present an unmissable evening of masterful violin and cello playing. Combining classical string traditions with world music infused by Arabic and Celtic influence, the sisters are internationally recognised for uniting diverse musical genres and cultures through their unique compositional style.
Fast becoming the sound and faces of a truly exciting new generation of classical and crossover artists, the duo have performed across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, with highlights including appearances at the Royal Albert Hall, London Palladium, The Cairo Opera House, and Dubai Opera.
The sisters will be joined for the evening by renowned Jazz musicians, guitarist Giulio Romano Malaisi and percussionist Daniele Antenucci.
The evening is presented by Grand Junction in association with Arts Canteen as part of Elixir Festival 2024.
