Arun is an experienced digital media specialist and marketing professional. He completed an MSc in Management in 2020 and works as a Digital Ad Support Specialist at global media company Snap Inc (Snapchat). Arun joined Arts Canteen in May 2020 as a freelance Digital Producer to produce online events.
Arun is the founder of a digital media and events agency Silva Media which provides services in digital media consultancy, website design and event production for SMEs and large organisations in the UK and abroad. He has worked as an Events Lead and Social Media Officer for the University of Kent, producing and promoting over a hundred live events for various venues during his time at university, including co-founding Medfest – an annual summer arts festival in Medway.
Arun is also a trained musician (organist and singer), producing his own concerts and performing with other musicians. He is the founder of the KSL Music Collective – a group of musicians from the Southeast, who have performed charity fundraiser concerts since 2020. He is a dedicated supporter of charitable causes, recently appointed to the board of a non-profit foundation, as Director of Media and Development, engaging in philanthropic work to support communities affected by the pandemic in Sri Lanka. Arun is a keen supporter of arts and culture and enjoys engaging with artists in the UK and in Sri Lanka.
